Bullshit I say!
EveryDAY is a time to LOVE.
it's a 365 24 7 thing.
I know a pastor who didn't wait for V Day to give his pretty wife roses.
I was very shocked when I read the news about youngsters here in Malaysia caught by the Authority for committing adultery in hotels. Sad to say but a lot of teenage couples used Valentine's Day as special day to "DO IT".
When someone say "I Love You" to you, what's the first thing come into your mind?
A boy stating his emotion to a girl he admired?

A mother conveying her cares for her son?
A non-gay term used by best buddies to appreciate each other?
Or the crucifixion of The Son of God?
Tikai would like to share with fellow readers on the 4 Greek words for love: Eros, Storge, Philia and Agape.
Eros or Romantic Love

This love is associated with Marriage, Sensual Desire and Longing. When you see a girl which makes your pulse go faster than normal or that feeling in your tummy like butterflies are flying inside. This is a common thing and a very special feeling we felt/feel in real life or seen in Holly-Bollywood movies. It promotes appreciation of the beloved. However,if we look back in history, most dreaded tragedies often caused by it.
C.S. Lewis warned:"love begins to be a demon the moment [it] begins to be a god".
When one elevate EROS to the status of a God often means danger!
Storge or Security/Familial Love

This particular love is found among family members or people whom you consider a family.People whom we rely on and the feeling of being taken care for and nurtured. It is the result of fondness because of familiarity. It can transcend most discriminating factors. Ironically, its strength is also its vulnerability point. C. S Lewis says, because this love has the appearance of being "ready made" or "built-in", and as a result people would expect, even to demand, its presence—irrespective of their behavior and its natural consequences.
Philia or Frienship Love

This is a love between you and someone that is totally honest, open and comfortable.
It is a strong bond existing between people who share a common interest or activity.C. S. Lewis explicitly notes that his definition of friendship is narrower than mere companionship: friendship in his sense only exists if there is something for the friendship to be "about".
Take for example, the friendship between King David and Jonathan.
Agape or Sacificial/Charitable/Unconditional Love

This is the love that brings forth caring regardless of circumstance.C. S. Lewis recognizes this as the greatest of loves, and sees it as a specifically Christian virtue. He warns that those who exhibit charity must constantly check themselves that they do not flaunt—and thereby warp—this love ("But when you give to someone, don't tell your left hand what your right hand is doing."—Matthew 6:3), which is its potential threat.
God is Love
God is Love (1 John 4:8). One way He defines Love is found in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."One way God defines love is in the act of giving.
It's Unconditional
God is Love, and His love is rather different from that of human love. It is unconditional, and it's not based on feelings or emotions. He doesn't love us because we're lovable or because we make Him feel good; He loves us because He is love. He created us to have a loving relationship with Him, and He sacrificed His own Son (who also willingly died for us) to restore that relationship.Tikai: I heard a saying: you can give without loving but you can't love without giving.
